In-Person CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION with Rachel
Learn the important things about pregnancy, birth, and caring for your bundle of joy in this six-session, in-person class. Grow your community of new-parent friends as you get to know your classmates.
NOT Just Another Day
Research shows that women remember details of their births for the rest of their lives and that their satisfaction is more wrapped up in their expectations, decision making, and support than it is in their labors' length or difficulty.
What You'll Learn...
We'll cover pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and baby care -- and how you can make the best decisions for you and your family throughout the process. The class is well paced and interactive, with the ultimate goal of increasing every family's confidence as you begin this new chapter of your story.
Based on the
Six Healthy Birth Practices
from Lamaze
1. Let labor begin on its own.
2. Walk, move around and change positions throughout labor.
3. Bring a loved one, friend or doula for continuous support.
4. Avoid interventions that are not medically necessary.
5. Avoid giving birth on your back and follow your body’s urges to push.
6. Keep mother and baby together; it’s best for mother, baby and breastfeeding.
